| Tiivistelmä: | This article studies publications about the indigenous Sami people in the Finnish news discourse and the role of the representations in the politics of the Sami identity. The newspaper texts are collected from Helsingin Sanomat. The writer analyses the representations using critical discourse analysis and examines how the journalists utilized textual and linguistic resources available to them, how practises limited and enabled choices made and how the textual choices contributed to the representations. |
