| Tiivistelmä: | This article integrates research from multiple disciplines on different types of owners and presents a unifying framework of governance through ownership. Using this framework, the motivations of various types of owners, the tactics owners use to influence companies, and the dominant company results these owners try to affect are described. The findings show how heightened managerial awareness of heterogeneous owner interests increases owner influence on company-level results. |
