| Tiivistelmä: | Several countries that are reforming their financial sector are facing the fact that the central bank and finance ministry may have different objectives concerning debt policy and monetary or fiscal policies. The author explains what should be the role of these two in various situations concerning public debt policy and monetary policy. The developing of effective markets for government securities is mentioned as an important area of common interests. The writer suggest several ways to improve the cooperation between finance ministry and central bank while reforming the finance sector. |
