| Tiivistelmä: | The movement towards environmental responsibility has many far-reaching consequences for business leaders. One of these consequences is a new awareness of the office as an environment: an environment in which a large number of people spend a significant portion of their lives. It can provide a supportive , pleasant work space or it can contribute to employee anger, hostility, and apathy, and even increase the number and intensity of health problems. The losses of productivity may be also enormous. The PLANS framework is described which involves the following elements; privacy; lighting and view; air quality; noise; space. Research results are reported and some data from a case study are presented. |
