| Tiivistelmä: | By a definition proposed by Tinbergen integration is a combination of previously sovereign areas into a larger sovereign area. Snapper disagrees to this proposition in his comment, stating, that there are cases when transfers of areas into larger sovereign state do not agree with this definition. This holds first of all for areas that are conquered during war. However, the process by which sovereign areas become one sovereign state as a consequence of war or during a war can be regarded as integration. Tinbergen argues in his reply that Snapper's comment enriched considerably the theory of integration. |
