| Tiivistelmä: | This contribution is intended to be a first, and necessarily somewhat tentative, attempt at outlining the impact the new dispute settlement system of the World Trade Organization may have on the European Community. It is tentative, because some aspects of the EC's participation in the dispute settlement system have not yet been clarified in all details. An attempt will be made in this article, to set out , first, the characteristics of the new dispute settlement system in sufficient fashion and, second, the impact these characteristics are likely to have on the European Community. |
