| Tiivistelmä: | This study investigates the effects of LBO's on corporate growth and diversification in a sample of large USA firms which underwent LBO's during the 1980's. A particular contribution of this study is that it supplements the use of standard aggregate measures of diversification strategy with a more detailed examination of post-buy-out changes in the business portfolios of LBO firms. The findings strongly suggest that LBO's reduce growth and diversification in large diversified firms. |
