| Tiivistelmä: | The paper discusses the re-engineering in administration with respect to the particular Slovenian situation.At first, there is a short historic overview of re-engineering as an attempt to de-mystify it.A definition is offered so as to facilitate our judgement whether we have to do with re-engineering, and main reasons why and when to do it.A strong reason for this approach is the advent of information society, in development of which the administration plays an important role.Finally, in Slovenia, there is a three-in-one transition already under way, which is a strong reason to start re-engineering processes also in administration. |
