| Tiivistelmä: | Grief and bereavement are traumatic experiences that diminish one's energy and productivity, and even change one's ability to think clearly. HR managers, therefore, face a unique responsibility to keep the employee productive and functioning while also creating a supportive environment. Although most companies today provide a bereavement leave, it is woefully inadequate. HR can provide special leave programs, offer financial services, flexible work schedules and access to support groups. Most importantly, HR can help promote wellness through compassion. |
