The author examines the institute's new standards and suggests how personnel specialists can best achieve them while also gaining practical commercial skills. Under the new professional qualification scheme, three fields of standards have to be satisfied to gain graduate membership of the IPD: core management, core personnel and development, plus four subjects from a range of more than 20 generalist and specialist "electives". |
