| Tiivistelmä: | Scholarly interest in financial centers has increased and widened since the mid-1980s. The authors have, therefore, undertaken to update the article by Choi et al. (1986) on the determinants of interpenetration of financial centres by banks. For their purposes the authors define interpenetration as the exchange of organizational presence. The authors distinguish two effects of location or place that continue to support the importance of financial centres. One affects firms' revenues and the other affects firms' costs. |
