| Tiivistelmä: | This paper reinvestigates the relative importance of exports, foreign aid and exchange rate in the economic growth of 28 low-income LDCs. The simultaneous equations models fro real growth in GDP per capita and real growth in exports per capita have been estimated by 2SLS to remedy the problem of simultaneity bias. The models have been estimated both without and with lag structures. The empirical evidence shows bi-directional causality between economic growth and export growth. |
