| Tiivistelmä: | This paper considers a dynamic spatial model of human capital accumulation in the presence of local spillovers in learning. The results provide conditions unders which heterogeneous and homogeneous steady states exist and are locally stable. The model also considers the impact of role models and mentors and indicates when they can have a positive/negative impact upon a steady state human capital levels. |
