The authors state that burning question for America's Most Admired is whether they will be able to retain their luster in the face of serious challenges ahead. The article provides charts where the authors show total return of the top ten and the bottom ten companies. The authors also list these companies saying that according to more then 4,000 businesspeople surveyed late last year, no company in USA demonstrates such enviable qualities as tireless innovation, robust financials and the ability to lure and keep the smartest people, better then General Electric - putting GE atop the authors' annual list for the fourth year in a row. Further the paper quote the words of their CEO's concerning their companies and their competitors. |
