Tiivistelmä:This article does not intend to give a complete perspective of the developing countries experience of the WTO Dispute Settlement Procedures, nor to show a way to maximise its utilisation. Such is the diversity of situations that general conclusions are difficult to draw. Instead, the aim is to propose some points of reflection for improving the use of the WTO Dispute Settlement Understanding (DSU). The Multilateral Trade System (MTS), as developed in the Uruguay Round, is contained in a set of international treaties that constitute formal sources of International Public Law. This represents the package of rights and obligations agreed upon in Marrakech (GATT 1994, its annexed trade agreements, the Agreement in Services and TRIPs).
