| Tiivistelmä: | The authors study the influence of firm ownership and demographic variables of age, gender, education and job tenure on the work motivations and job attitudes of Russian retail workers at retail firms in Moscow and St. Petersburg/Pushki. The study surveyed retail sales people employed in former state-owned, private and joint venture retail firms regarding reward valence, instrumentality, effortperformance expectations, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Demographic and firm ownership variables were a factor in workers' preference for rewards, effort performance expectations, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. |
