| Tiivistelmä: | This article describes the findings of a working group established by the Church Council to prepare ethical guidelines for church investment activities. The members of the working-group represented expertise on business, investment, ethics and theology. The working group defined the scope of the assignment as covering ethical questions related to Church investment activities. It was not considered necessary to examine investments in other sectors of society separately since, according to the Lutheran view there is a single ethical code which applies equally to the Church and to the other sectors of society. Therefore, the principles governing the investment activities of the Church act more as a general statement about the ethics of investment. |
