| Tiivistelmä: | This article provides an overview of the nature of emotional and sexual labour and examines the emotion management strategies that sex workers adopt for separating their work and personal lives. It is argued that sex workers develop a manufactured identity as self-protection mechanism, and comparing sex work and other feminized service work it is said that some women can also use the manufactured identity to capitalize on their own sexuality. |
