| Tiivistelmä: | This paper discusses performance of international acquisitions. It is shown that acquires enhance their capabilities when they buy a target with a multinational scope. The findings of a financial event study suggest that targets with access to heterogenous resource environment provide the acquirer with greater potentiality for capability enhancement and financial performance. The multinational scope of the target is more likely to account for the resource diversity provided by the target than the country origin itself. |
