| Tiivistelmä: | This article extends the lead market model to environmental (hereafter as: env.) innovations. It is studied whether env. regulations are capable of creating lead markets that enable local firms to export env. innovations. The adoption of innovations is examined using two case studies: wind energy and fuel-efficient passenger cars. Several lead market factors are identified and their impacts are discussed. |
