Tiivistelmä:This paper examines Csikszentmihalyi's (1990) flow theory of optimal work experience and especially the relationship of employee's perceived skill and challenge at work and need for achievement with their positive mood, natural task interest and extra-role performance. According to two studies, only among achievement-oriented employees, high skill and challenge was related to greater positive mood, task interest and performance than other skill/challenge combinations.
