| Tiivistelmä: | This article argues that it is possible to explain financial difficulties in small and medium sized firm based on non-financial variables. The best classification was achieved by combining financial ratios and non-financial variables. It is suggested that non-financial variables provide significant information explaining financial difficulties and this should be noticed, because payment behaviour variables (payment delays, payment disturbances) may occur more frequently than the publication of episodic financial statements. |
