| Tiivistelmä: | Through a corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework developed in an exploratory study, this paper explores the nature of stakeholder (hereafter as: s-hldr./s-hldrs.) relationships (as: r-ships.) reported across leading FTSE companies and the importance attached to communicating both social and business outcomes (here as: s-and-b-outcms). Based on the tested hypotheses, it is evident that the bigger FTSE companies, particularly extraction companies and telecoms, are more adept at identifying and prioritising their s-hldrs., and linking CSR programmes to s-and-b-outcms. However, it is concluded that building stronger s-hldr. r-ships. through CSR programmes, other than with customers, is not currently a priority for most companies. |
