Tiivistelmä:Empirical evidence for the claim that routinization would hinder creativity is scarce. This article argues that routinization may actually be beneficial for creativity because resources are available for use while working. The paper explores both the relationship between routinization and four job characteristics (job control, complexity, time pressure and supervisor support) and some creative and proactive behaviours. The main result is that routinization is generally positively related to creativity.
