Tiivistelmä:This paper analyzes a successful cultural change experience within a large organization, Telefonica Group (hereafter as: T.G.) with more than 148.000 employees and over 100 million customers worldwide. T.G. is at the top position in the Spanish speaking telecommunications sector. T.G. has passed from an informatic culture to an informational culture, currently consolidating an e-culture enabling it to become a true e-company. Aiming to keep its leadership position, T.G. has designed Programa Lider.es (Leader Program.es) with the main objective of evolutionizing its business model towards e-business. This paper analyses the pillars, the organizational support structure and the different stages of the whole process. Provided is also a summary of the positive points, the mistakes and the lessons learnt.
