| Tiivistelmä: | There is significant potential for opportunism in strategic alliences, but the antecedents of it have largely been neglected in research literature. This paper develops a model, proposing that the inherent temporalities of alliances play major roles in partner opportunism. It suggests that alliance horizons are constituted by the temporal orientations of the member companies and various alliance formation factors. It discusses how the alliance horizons and the temporal orientations of member firms result in different levels of potential opportunism. |
