| Tiivistelmä: | In this paper, influences of subsequent firm risk taking are examined from the angle of fixed incentives relative to variable incentives. Also separate effects of variable incentive are studied. Wright et al. focus of top management team members and find that incentives that are devoted to fixed incentives relative to variable incentives tend to be reversely associated with firm risk taking and managerial capital options are directly and uniformly linked with subsequent corporate risk taking. Wright et al. also note that executive shareholdings have a curvilinear relationship with subsequent risk taking. |
