| Tiivistelmä: | This article deals with the role of agility (here as: agy.) in linking technology to business. Agy. is the capacity to anticipate changing market dynamics, adapt to those dynamics, and accelerate enterprise change to create economic value. The five levers of agy. needed to be used together are: quality, efficiency, flexibility, velocity, and visibility. Technology plays a key role in creating the agy. On the other hand, chief operating officers (COOs) are uniquely positioned to drive value creation by using information technology (IT) to increase agility. |
