| Tiivistelmä: | Since the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in 1992, the management of information has become central to the management of forest resources in the North America and Europe. Policy makers in Canada, USA and Europe confront similar challenges when determine the information suitable for monitoring progress towards sustainable forest management (SFM). In this study an online survey was used to study multiple stakeholder perspectives on monitoring and information reporting for SFM in different jurisdictions. The results indicate a demand for more information on SFM-related issues. |
