Tiivistelmä: | The object of this study is to provide information on how strategic alliances help to facilitate corporate entrepreneurship activities. Resource-based view of the firm is being used. Thus, the paper presents a resource-based framework of corporate entrepreneurship and strategic alliances. That framework is used to analyze how strategic alliances offer entrepreneurial firms useful resources that are not otherwise available. The paper argues that CE activities tend to create resource gaps. To fill these gaps, strategic alliances are seen as logical options. In addition, it is argued that a strategic alliance does not create value in CE. According to resource-based view, only when certain conditions are met the strategic alliance creates competitive advantage. To the end, the paper investigates how different forms of alliance affect various CE activities. |
