Tiivistelmä:This paper examines labour market behaviour of employed individuals that have entrepreneurial aspirations as well as aspirations to switch job. Using an empirical study, both aspirations were found to be relatively common, but most employees were not found to be engaged in both "search processes". In addition, entrepreneurial aspirations were found to be more difficult to explain empirically than aspirations to switch job. The results show only few observable employee characteristics related to both processes. Varied experience and job dissatisfaction were found to be directly related, and job tenure inversely related, to the probability of both aspirations. This study provides also information about the process of transitions from work into entrepreneurship by demonstrating that experimenting with new things in present job, regarding the content of the work important and being dissatisfied with superiors contribute to the manifestation of entrepreneurial aspirations.
