| Tiivistelmä: | This article uses a network analysis approach to gain a better understanding of managersÂ’ information gathering behaviors (hereafter as IGB). The aim of this study is to examine how the network size and tie strength influence the IGB. The analyzed data was collected from 61 managers in two different phases. The results show that the personality plays an important role in IGB and also the social capital of the network is vital in the process of IGB. The paper also documents that the motivated managers can take more advantage of information benefits influenced by network characteristics. |
