Tiivistelmä:This article examines how individual factors, especially self-efficacy, influence on internal ethics reporting decisions. 939 professionals from a total of nine regions in Canada and the US participated. The results show that self-efficacy influences participant reported propensity for internal whistleblowing in the US and Canada. Participants' management and work experience as well as gender were found to be influential to self-efficacy although these individual traits did not directly relate to propensities for internal whistleblowing. The study provides recommendation for managing individual bias with internal reporting systems.
