| Tiivistelmä: | There is not too much known about the performance of the innovation intermediaries or the firms running the Internet (here as: I.) marketplaces (as: m-plcs.) Based on interviews on intellectual property and technology managers in 25 medium-sized and large industrial companies representing the potential licensors and licensees in the I. exchanges, this study shows relatively limited success rates of I. m-plcs. as to the number of initiated technology transactions (as: t-trncts.), especially when comparised with the hopes initially placed in these tools. In addition, important problems and recent trends in these web-enabled exchanges are identified, with developed propositions as to major consequences t-trncts.' management and initiation. |
