| Tiivistelmä: | This introduction presents the contents of this focused issue on 'Researching service MNEs' emphasizing the growing service (hereafter as: srv./srvs.) sector's importance in the global economy. It aims at filling in the gaps of research in internationalization of srv. industries. The issue presents papers exploring different aspects on srv. multinationals, i.e. surveying recent academic work on non-manufacturing sector, internationalization and performance, determinants of exports for srv. firms, regional vs. global strategies for srv. firms etc. Each paper of the issue offers a distinct insight into the srvs. sector.
