| Tiivistelmä: | This paper reports on the findings of two cases studies performed as part of a programme of case studies, aiming at exploring the power of the old institutional economics framework to explain the gap btw. management accounting (hereafter as: mgmt. acc.) theory and practice, from the viewpoint of costing for pricing. It is concluded that much observed mgmt. acc. practice is difficult to reconcile with ex-ante constrained optimization, but is explicable as to conditioning by various institutions. |
