| Tiivistelmä: | A specific form of intra-organizational networks, that is, a community of practice (COP), is increasingly considered as an important structure within organizations. This study explores the most salient reasons for the success and failure of such networks. Based on an investigation of 57 COPs from major European and U.S. companies, there are found 10 "commandments" leading to the successful development and sharing of best practices. There are also identified five main reasons for failure. |
