| Tiivistelmä: | This article examined the effects of travelling on attitude changes and in particular the post-trip attitudes, and how social distance, pre-travel expectations and experiences influence it. The study focused on a group of American undergraduate students participated in a summer course, either in Europe or the South Pacific region. The results were compared with the control group of students, who did not study abroad. The analysis of pre-trip and post-trip questionnaires shows that non-tourism experiences and services have a significant impact a change in attitudes. |
