| Tiivistelmä: | The article discusses issues concerning the authenticity in the context of tourism. The article provides empirical evidence from fieldwork on fundamentalist Christian pilgrims during their journey to the Holy Land. The study examines the experienced authenticity paying particular attention to the elements related to the place, beliefs and actions. The analysis of interviews, observations and e-mail exchanges revealed that theoplacity is a suitable framework to approach the experience of authenticity. |
