Tiivistelmä: | In this study a model, where emotional competence influences work performance through employees' proactive behaviors toward their supervisors is proposed and tested. The results suggest that emotional competence is positively associated with proactive behaviors and proactive behaviors are positively associated with task effectiveness and social integration. Proactive behaviors seem to significantly mediate emotional competence-work performance relationships, especially in those who have a higher degree of autonomy in their work. |
