Tiivistelmä:The purpose of this study is to explore how consumers evaluate unbranded and unlabelled food products and to what extent they can select the products with the highest potential to satisfy their expectations of eating quality. The results show that Portuguese consumers are uncertain in their in-store quality assessment. Shoppers seem to use multiple criteria to assess the quality of the product, even criteria that aren't related to objective product quality.
