| Tiivistelmä: | In this study, the author shows the reasons why Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises (hereafter SMEs) are inefficiency. Corporate level data covering the 1992-2004 period were analyzed in order to find out the factors that cause under-production. The paper identifies ways how to improve the profitability of SMEs. |
