| Tiivistelmä: | This study derives a typology of firms based on the mix of flexible (here as: flex) working time practices employed using the European Establishment Survey of Working Times. There are six flex. profiles distinguished, each representing a considerable proportion of establishments. The typology differentiates btw. more and less flexible firms and also btw. the focus of the adopted practices, emphasizing that flex. is not a one-dimensional concept. It is also explored what firm characteristics are good predictors of the adoption of a certain flex. profile and how the profiles are related to performance and encountered human resource management (HRM) bottlenecks. |
