Tiivistelmä:This paper aims to compare salient approaches for identifying the patterns of college students' information search behaviours (henceforth as: i-s-behs.) when preparing for their spring break (herein as: s-b.) trips. Comparing four prominent constructs, that is, i. past experience, ii. prior knowledge, iii. involvement and iv. a concept of specialisation combining those three variables, it is indicated that iii. and iv. have more distinctive results than the others as to measurement of travellers' perceived usefulness of information sources and the importance of information content. Furthermore, the different groups assigned different priorities for usage of main information sources. As a result, iii. and iv. concept seem to offer more distinctive clarification for identifying the i-s-behs. of s-b. travellers.
