Tiivistelmä:This paper examines the effect of literary prizes and nominations on the subsequent market success based on a panel dataset of Dutch-language titles from Jan 2003 to Jun 2005. Winning a prize is indicated having generally a positive effect on the ensuing sales, while nominations do not generate additional sales. There is more information on the precise effect differences depending on the particular prize.
