| Tiivistelmä: | It is argued that the mechanisms of external knowledge (henceforth as: knwl.) capture and internal knwl. transfer could be understood at the micro-organizational level of Communities of Practice (CoPs) instead of at that of the subsidiaries' network. A model is proposed of the dynamics of organizational learning in network organizations, e.g. MNEs. The proposed model: i. clarifies the link btw. CoPs and Networks of Practice (NoPs), by offering a new conceptual model of how especially tacit, embedded knowledge is absorbed, and ii. proposes a new link btw. CoPs and Internal Networks of Practice (INoPs) as another essential component to knwl. accumulation and knwl. transfer within firms etc. |
