Tiivistelmä:The article examines how the apparent source of advice affects the attention people pay to it. The two sources in question are human expert advice and statistical forecasting methods. Two studies are conducted, where business university students are provided with advice originating from different sources. The results of the studies indicate that when advice comes from a single source, people tend to trust more on the human expert advice. When the advice is provided from two sources, human expert advice is paid more attention, however the treatment of statistical forecasts no longer differs from the one of human expert advice.
