| Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of the article is to discuss the potential of Latin America and Caribbean region for international tourism. For these areas, as for many other developing countries, tourism is a very important source of economic development. Past trends of international tourism for Latin America and the Caribbean are analyzed and projected to the year 2020. The method used is a combination of four different time series projection models. According to the projection, the arrivals to Latin America and the Caribbean would almost double by the year 2020, resulting in a revenue somewhere between $64,92 and $75,79. |
