Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of this article is to gain understanding on customer information search strategies for online purchasing of travel products, more specifically flight tickets and accommodation. The authors use secondary data analysis of a survey conducted in 2001 among U.S. internet users. The results reveal that when buying flight tickets, consumers use direct information sources, focusing on transactional attributes. In turn, when purchasing accommodation consumers rely on various information sources and transactional, informational and branding attributes. |
