Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of the paper is to review literature on the research of environmental marketing and management and to identify possible trends in the field. The authors conduct a content analysis on 530 articles from the years 1969-2008, analyzing the authorship profile, manuscript characteristics, research design, scope of research, research methodology and topical area. The review shows a transformation in the research field from identification and exploration towards a more advanced, mature phase. A more multi-authored, cross-cultural and inter-disciplinary research approach has been adopted. The paper provides a reference point and a guide for future research directions. |
